Artwork

Our Art Department utilises current versions of prepress and design software enabling us to use most graphic files sent to us

The following guidelines are to ensure a quality reproduction of your design in a quick and efficient manner.

Naming Files

Supported file types

Please use word names as opposed to code numbers etc. all discs and their cases/sleeves should be clearly marked with the file names, company and contact details.

CDR, EPS, AI, Tiff, Pdf
Pc files only as we cannot support Apple Mac Files
Corel Draw X3: Mg signs predominately uses Corel draw x3
Illustrator: Please link (not embed all artwork)
Photoshop: Please save artwork with layers intact (not flattened) as a psd or tiff file
Jpeg: Not a recommended option please supply artwork at a high resolution only.

It is recommended that your artwork be saved at a percentage of the final size (50%, 25%, 10%), when doing this. Please indicate the final out put size.

We accept files on Cd’s or Email

Fonts

ICC Profiles

All fonts must be supplied or converted to curves/ paths.

Please use native font variations as opposed to applying font style attributes from style menus, for example use the font “century schoolbook italic” rather than using “century schoolbook” and selecting “italic” from a pull down menu.

Please do not embed colour profiles in your artwork files, your graphics programme should have any colour management options turned off before you save your files.

Please ensure your artwork has CMYK attributes.

Hardcopies

Proofs

It is necessary that you provide a scaled hardcopy with your job to ensure accurate reproduction. This enables our art department to detect any file corruption etc.

Please include notes on PMS colours etc if applicable.

We offer a proof of each job to ensure quality, asking MG Signs to proceed without approval of a proof waives our responsibility for costs of any rework.
